I was sent a link to YouTube about people getting a second chance in life after making terrible mistakes at an early age. Its interesting to see that many prisoners have been forgotten even though that may have not been intentional. There have been many good people to make a bad decision that cost a lifetime of woes for them and all in their lives. I am glad someone is showing concern over guys that need a second chance. I believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to prove their worth even if they've made bad decisions...especially if was in their youth. Where would many of us be now had not someone along the way decided we needed a chance to change? At What Cost?

I begin this post (low and behold a fifth time while listening to the Beastie Boys first album, and now into a Blink 182 greatest hits; yeah I know, act my age!) with asking the question "How much are we willing to invest in helping others become the best version of themselves?" There is a time for everyone to decide on these issues and it has recently become relevant to me to ask myself this question. And this will have lasting effects for me, my family, friends and co-workers...so it is an important question for me to ask, and to post. I have a number of irons in the fire I will call initiatives for now. Since I am a christian minister do I decide everything I do should be placed into a set of parameters with each thing I do having a specific time frame or day to work at helping those who need a helping hand to get them along the way? Today Has Been...

Today has been a day of earnest reflection on the way we can do better in our interactions with each other in our daily lives. I want to believe in the good of all men,but reality tends to agree with the words of the good book that no man is good, that we have all gone astray? But that shouldn't be the way we see each other because we are commanded to love one another-and yhat is just plain hard to do! Surely there must be a good idea out there for making interactions better amidst the chaos that has taken over people lives in the past few years! I am inclined to believe that it will take a few good men and women who have not allowed themselves to be bitter and angry at the hands dealt to us but understand we make the best of what seems to be a bad situation.
